Loto Pavilion

Architetto: Marco Porpora Architetti
Anno: 2019

For the 37th edition of Cersaie, Ariostea is presenting its latest product innovations in a stunning exhibition space, the Loto Pavilion. The structure of the pavilion is inspired by a lotus flower floating on a body of water.

The exhibition space was designed to look like the corolla of large porcelain stoneware petals that open up to reveal a central area, where mirrored details enhance and amplify the design and depth of the new textures.

The concept of the stand, designed by the Marco Porpora Architetti Architectural Studio, came to life from the specific technical-mechanical characteristics of Ariosteas large slabs which,

produced with extremely high-quality raw materials and the latest generation manufacturing  technologies,  allow us to cover curved surfaces too. This is where the concept for the large Ultra slabs came from, from the curvature coefficient, slabs that flex like the petals of a lotus flower.

The large Ultra format slabs steal the show as they reinterpret the rarest marbles with Capraia, Bianco Statuario and Dark Emperador, rework the aestheticof natural stone with Pietra Piasentina and reproduce the precious quality of minerals with Crystal, Agata and Amazonite.

The interior of the stand highlights all the versatility of porcelain stoneware, a natural material that is always opening up new frontiers in design application: not just walls and flooring, but also seating, console tables, flower beds and interior elements on demand, which mark the various corners, taking the visitor on a journey to discover the world of Ariostea.

Green is the leitmotif of the entire exhibition layout at the Ariostea stand.
On one side we have the greenery – clearly added with plants, compositions and small vertical gardens – that dialogues with urban porcelain stoneware containers and vases, while on the other, the green theme is the source of inspiration for the curved, picturesque lotus-shaped perimeter.

The Loto Pavilion celebrates the new Ariostea collections, highlighting all their aesthetic and technical potential, without overlooking the production aspect   and environmental focus which, by including natural elements, testifies to the manufacturing philosophy of the brand and of the Holding Iris Ceramica Group and the goal of Zero Emission facilities.
