When ceramic technology draws the meeting between history and the future

The Leo Grand Hotel in Vienna is set in a prestigious 17th-century Baroque building, given a new lease of life by a meticulous renovation courtesy of Lenikus Group. The concept, developed by Gabriele Lenikus, pays homage to Emperor Leopold I and creates a singular atmosphere in which heritage dialogues with bold contemporary design. Every detail, from furniture to finishes, has been custom designed to create an aesthetic of noble opulence.

In a project with such a tailored approach, Ariostea ceramic surfaces were chosen to bring uniqueness and stylistic consistency to the bathrooms.

Approximately 2700 square metres of Iridium Bianco slabs were used to clad the bathrooms of the hotel’s 76 rooms, suites and public areas.

Thanks to exclusive DYS (Design Your Slabs) technology, the surface was customised with an elegant bespoke decoration that adds a modern slant to the delicacy of ornate filigree.

The result is an exclusive motif that balances historical richness with today’s formal cleanliness.

Ariostea surfaces thus become an integral part of the visual narrative, demonstrating how ceramic technology can transform matter into a powerful tool at the service of creativity and design.
