Lindt Home of Chocolate

The Lindt Home of Chocolate in Zurich is an international museum dedicated to the history and culture of chocolate, offering visitors a fully immersive experience. Designed by Christ & Gantenbein, the structure reflects the industrial aesthetic of the Lindt & Sprüngli factories, combining it with a minimalist, geometric design. At the heart of the building is a monumental atrium, featuring suspended walkways, spiral staircases and a dramatic nine-metre-high chocolate fountain, the centrepiece of the museum experience.

Ariostea contributed to the design of the interior spaces by supplying 3,000 square metres of Statuario Altissimo Silk slabs, in the 300×150 cm format and submultiples, which were later cut to size to meet the project’s design requirements.
Ariostea contributed to the design of the interior spaces by supplying 3,000 square metres of Statuario Altissimo Silk slabs, in the 300×150 cm format and submultiples, which were later cut to size to meet the project’s design requirements.
The slabs were laid in a running-bond pattern to create visual continuity and harmony throughout the space.
Specifically, 2,168 square meters were used for flooring, while 832 square meters clad the staircase area, integrating with the architecture of the building.

Selected for both its aesthetic appeal and technical performance, Ariostea’s high-tech porcelain stoneware ensures durability and easy maintenance, essential qualities for high-traffic environments.

Statuario Altissimo, a contemporary take on one of the finest marbles in Italian tradition, embodies timeless elegance with its white surface crossed by grey veins that amplify the perception of space and luminosity.

With their aesthetic beauty and exceptional technical performance, Ariostea slabs become part of a design vision that blends strength with refinement.
In a space conceived to celebrate the history and value of chocolate, these surfaces enhance the sense of continuity and depth, guiding visitors on a journey where culture, architecture and material come together.
